BDWAbyWIM proud to announce panel of international judges
The Born Digital Wine Awards by Wine in Moderation (BDWAbyWIM) is the only competition that awards talented writers, photographers and video producers creating digital material in seven different languages and is proud to count on an equally international and highly talented panel of judges.
Chaired by editor Richard Siddle, the world’s best online digital wine-focused journalism, writing, photography and video will be judged in the early autumn by a panel of renowned experts and influencers. These include award-winning South-American based journalist Amanda Barnes, Editor-in-chief of Meininger’s Wine Business International Felicity Carter, Brazil’s influential wine expert Marcelo Copello, award-winning journalist W. Blake Gray, Photographer and Chairman of the Circle of Wine Writers Colin Hampden-White, Swedish wine-writer and cartoonist Ulf Janssen, Greek journalist and vice president of FIJEV Ted Lelekas, New-York based author and journalist Elin McCoy and video communication expert Carrie Patsalis. Finalists will be announced in October.
The awards opened on 1stst June and are now accepting material in seven different languages: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German and, new for 2017, Greek. Entries may be submitted in 5 categories: Best Investigative/Journalistic wine story, Best Editorial / Opinion wine writing, Best Tourism article with a wine focus, Best wine photo and Best wine video. Entries should reflect the cultural diversity of wine, be examples of communication spreading the knowledge of wine or aspects of the wine industry and adhere to the principles of responsible communication. Additionally, Wine in Moderation will award the Responsibility Prize to entries in any category that demonstrate the message of responsibility and moderation.
The Awards are supported by a number of International partners including Bodegas de Argentina, Federación Española del Vino and Vin et Société which have been involved in actively promoting the awards to the digital content creators of their home countries.
