Vrazon and Wine in Moderation announce the 2015 Born Digital Wine Awards
Friday, 20th March 2015
The Born Digital Wine Awards, launched in 2011 by Vrazon, announces the 2015 edition brought to you by Wine in Moderation. The BDWA will continue to champion the best content produced online, but with an even greater focus on the culture of wine.
Thanks to the sponsorship of Wine in Moderation-Art de Vivre, BDWA will reveal, in April, a revised list of categories, prizes, judges and sponsors for the Awards. The goal will be to spotlight the best wine content published digitally, promoting a positive culture of wine in the world of communication. The Born Digital Wine Awards ceremony will be held at the 2015 Digital Wine Communications Conference (DWCC) later this year.
“Wine is the complement of food and conviviality, and Wine in Moderation is all about the unique wine culture. By supporting the BDWA we aim to honour the work of today’s wine communicators which reveals the link between wine culture and ‘art de vivre’” said Stylianos Filopoulos, Director of Wine in Moderation-Art de Vivre, “our aim is to encourage responsibility in the communication and appreciation of wine.”
Ryan Opaz, founder and CEO of Vrazon said, “We are proud of what we built and achieved with the Born Digital Wine Awards. They are the only awards to accept entries in different languages, and with a systematic approach to judging that really helps to promote new voices alongside the established names.”
The Born Digital Wine Awards were launched in 2011 to focus attention on the range and quality of wine-related content being published online across the world in different languages. In its first two editions, the awards received over 500 entries from 24 countries and in more than a dozen languages, and past winners include Tim Atkin MW, Jim Budd, Wink Lorch, but also less well-known names such as Nick Stock, Giorgia Guarienti and Andrea Frost.
